Saraco Family Photo

Here's the picture, enjoy!
In this picture: Left to right. Dante Saraco (Don), my uncle Don. Carmela Mildred Saraco (Millie) my mom. Sylvia Ambruso, my grandma. Tessie ? (our cousin), and the little girl in the front is Esther Rose Saraco, my aunt Esther. Most likely taken in their neighborhood. Maybe someone knows where this photo was taken.

  1. Sandy,
GREAT! This is just the type of stuff I was hoping for. I hope you don't mind, but I did some editing. I added a title and the caption with the names that you previously had under "comments". I then tweeked the "Labels" since they will be used as keywords from now on. Keep 'em coming.

  2. In looking at the ages of the kids, my guess would be that this photos was taken around 1940-41.

    1. According to my mother she was 16 at the time. That would make it 1941. Aunt Esther was 6, and uncle Don was 13. The photo was taken on Broad St. Trenton, NY.

  4. Dante.

Got into a canoe on the Passaic and ended up in NY Harbor. At night!

    Loved the man.

    Who couldn’t?

  5. Hi! I don't know if this is the same Dante I heard about growing up -- did he graduate from Trenton High School in 1951? If so ... then he was a childhood friend of my father - My father died young, in 1979, but, I remember him telling us fun/funny stories about Dante -- I don't remember any of the details, and I never met Dante (my family moved to Canada in 1965), but he sounded like a tonne of fun from the tales my father told -
